Job summary

BSS Building Staff Solutions Limited is seeking a General Foreman based in Cork to lead site activities across Munster. You will supervise day-to-day works, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure builds meet drawings, specs, and quality standards on pharma, commercial and large residential projects.

The role requires extensive foreman experience with a main contractor, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to deliver against tight deadlines while maintaining safety standards

Our client is a Tier 1 main contractor delivering pharma, commercial and large residential projects. They are hiring a General Foreman based in Cork to run works on projects across Munster, as they build up their site teams for upcoming work in the region.

Responsibilities

• Supervise works on site day to day, reporting to the Site Manager
• Coordinate subcontractors and report on their progress and performance
• Make sure works are built to drawings, specification and quality standards
• Track progress against the programme and flag delays early
• Coordinate interfaces with mechanical contractors
• Work with the EHS team to keep the site safe and compliant
• Lead and motivate the site team

Requirements

• Extensive Foreman experience with a main contractor
• Experience on large scale pharma, commercial or residential block projects
• Experience managing teams and a large number of subcontractors at once
• Able to deliver to tight deadlines
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Finishing experience an advantage: fit out, ceilings and partitions, internal joinery and fire doors, or a carpentry background
• Full clean driving licence and willing to travel across Munster
• Valid Safe Pass and relevant site certifications
