Job summary

Pieta House is seeking a motivated Fundraising Officer to grow impact through county-wide connections and innovative fundraising approaches. Hybrid role based 2/3 days at Pieta centres; full-time, Mon-Fri 9am-5pm.

A full clean driving licence and willingness to travel within the region are required. You will drive income via peer-to-peer fundraising, manage national campaigns, and expand the supporter base through schools, clubs, and local partners.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years’ experience in fundraising within a non-profit sector.
  • Proven success in meeting or exceeding fundraising targets through peer-to-peer fundraising, events or community-led initiatives.
  • Strong relationship management across volunteers, donors, schools, committees and local influencers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including public speaking and donor communications.
  • Comfortable using digital tools to promote local campaigns (social media, Canva, iDonate, JustGiving).
  • Experience using CRM systems (ideally Salesforce) with strong data accuracy and supporter tracking.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel for income tracking and basic analysis; can reconcile data across platforms (iDonate, JustGiving, Enthuse, Stripe).
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with ability to drive improvements.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven; able to work independently and as part of a national team.
  • Flexible and responsive to changing priorities; availability for evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Drive income by planning, delivering, and supporting high-performing peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives and Pieta-led campaigns, ensuring achievement of income targets and KPIs.

Deliver national fundraising campaigns (e.g. Darkness Into Light and others) by managing and supporting volunteer committees across venue logistics, health and safety, compliance, volunteer mobilisation, and local promotion.

Grow Pietas supporter base by engaging with schools, GAA clubs, local businesses, and community groups to expand both income and participation in events and campaigns.

Provide leadership and structured support to volunteer committees and local peer-to-peer fundraisers, ensuring they are equipped, recognised, stewarded, and motivated to deliver successful events in line with Pieta’s values.

Deliver excellent volunteer and peer-to-peer engagement through a hybrid model, combining in-person support with scheduled fundraising clinics to provide consistent, scalable access to expert advice.

Implement tailored supporter journeys based on participation type, ensuring donor-centred experiences that increase lifetime value and deepen community connection.

Monitoring, Reporting & Planning:

Monitor performance and ROI using Salesforce and other tools; analyse trends and provide reports to support data-led planning and improvement.

Support regional budgeting and forecasting, contributing financial insights and updates to national income planning.

Champion innovation in local, peer-to-peer, and events fundraising, testing new approaches to increase reach, retention, and supporter satisfaction.

Operations & Compliance:

Undertake essential administration for peer-to-peer and events-based fundraising activities, ensuring tasks are prioritised and delivered efficiently alongside other responsibilities.

Maintain, update, and proactively manage the CRM system (Salesforce), ensuring clean, accurate, and timely data entry for all supporter interactions, income, and campaign activity.

Use Pieta’s fundraising project management system (Asana) to plan, track, and deliver tasks, manage deadlines, and collaborate effectively across teams in line with departmental processes.

Ensure all activities comply with GDPR, financial policies, and organisational procedures.

Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by your manager.

Comfortable using digital tools to promote local campaigns including social media, canva, and platforms like iDonate or JustGiving

Experience using CRM systems (ideally Salesforce) with strong data accuracy and supporter tracking

Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including working with formulas, v look ups etc) for income tracking, basic analysis as it pertains to your area, and reporting, with the ability to reconcile data across platforms such as iDonate, JustGiving, Enthuse, and Stripe.

Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to evaluate performance and drive improvements

Self-motivated and target-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a national team

Flexible and responsive to changing priorities, including availability to work evenings/weekends during peak activity periods

Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel regularly within your region
