Job summary

Waystone, based in Ireland, seeks a Senior Associate - Fund Risk to support the Fund Risk function through risk reporting and oversight for regulated funds. The role focuses on market risk analytics and monitoring investment compliance limits to safeguard client portfolios.

The position requires a solid understanding of fund regulations, data analysis skills, and the ability to present risk insights to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a 3rd level Degree in Finance, Business or similar field is required.
• A Master’s Degree in a Finance or Mathematical field or a related professional qualification would be desirable but is not a requirement.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in the finance/funds/investment management industry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications including Excel, Powerpoint, and Word is required; experience with Bloomberg, RiskMetrics or similar systems would be beneficial.
• Understanding of computer programming languages such as VBA, SQL or Python.
• Clarity of analysis and of expression, both written and oral.
• Commitment to ongoing professional and personal development.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing fund-related reports provided by Investment Managers
• Performing due diligence on Investment Managers as part of client acceptance process
• Analysing the key risk indicators of client portfolios
• Preparing of regulatory reports such as Annex IV
• Conducting liquidity stress testing in accordance with each fund’s policy
• Preparing risk reporting for monthly review by Risk Committee
• Presenting risk analysis at external fund board meetings
