Job summary

Carne Group is seeking an experienced Fund Onboarding Manager in Dublin to lead complex onboarding projects, coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring timely, risk-managed launches for new funds and clients.

You will apply deep knowledge of fund structures, AML/KYC, and governance to deliver high-quality onboarding while mentoring junior staff across jurisdictions and driving continuous improvements.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years’ funds industry experience (Management Company/AIFM preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of UCITS and AIF structures, including Luxembourg vehicles.
  • Proven project management skills with multitasking onboarding programmes.
  • English fluency; French, German, or Mandarin is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting process improvements or digitisation initiatives.
  • Ability to mentor junior team members across jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead onboarding for assigned clients, ensuring coordinated, high-quality onboarding experience.
  • Build relationships with Sales, Relationship Management, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Operations to ensure effective communication and execution.
  • Present new clients/funds to internal approval committees and ensure follow-up queries are resolved.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the client experience and support business growth.
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of onboarding projects, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and risk considerations are proactively managed.
  • Tailor onboarding plans to the specific fund structure, regulatory regime, and client requirements.
  • Oversee delegate due diligence and coordinate with Oversight teams to ensure timely completion.
  • Oversee AML/KYC, operational readiness, and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate implementation with delegates to ensure all SLAs and processes are agreed prior to launch.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure governance standards are adhered to.
  • Contribute to standardisation, automation, and process enhancements across onboarding processes.
  • Support development and rollout of onboarding technology or workflow solutions.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory developments impacting onboarding and ensure relevant updates are shared with global teams.
  • Identify operational risks and propose improvements to strengthen controls.
  • Support and mentor onboarding team members across jurisdictions as needed.
  • Promote consistent ways of working and contribute to team capability building.
  • Foster a collaborative, client centric culture aligned with organisational values.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Manager – Client Onboarding to lead complex onboarding projects, coordinate cross functional stakeholders, and ensure the timely and risk‑controlled launch of new funds and clients.

This role requires strong project management, deep technical knowledge of fund structures, and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients, delegates, and internal teams.

What are the minimum requirements you need for the role?
  • 3-5 years’ experience in the funds industry, ideally within Management Company / AIFM environments.
  • Strong knowledge of UCITS and AIF structures, including Luxembourg vehicles.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple onboarding programmes simultaneously.
  • Fluency in English essential; other languages (French, German, Mandarin) advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills with confidence in engaging with clients and senior internal stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting process improvements, operational enhancements, or digitisation initiatives.
  • Ability to mentor or support junior team members across jurisdictions.

Client & Stakeholder Leadership
  • Act as the onboarding lead for assigned clients, ensuring a coordinated, high-quality onboarding experience.
