Job summary

Vanguard Group is seeking a finance operations professional in Ireland to act as a subject matter expert, resolve complex issues, and lead improvements to internal controls and workflows. Qualifications

• Three years related work experience.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
• CFA or other financial designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve complex operational issues with stakeholders; support improvements to internal control framework.
• Serve as escalation contact; build relationships with portfolio traders and managers.
• Anticipate portfolio events and lead process enhancement initiatives.
• Resolve process and reconciliation issues with internal and external partners.
• Oversee incident analysis and track internal events; evaluate workflows.
• Participate in special projects as assigned.

Core Responsibilities

• Working with key stakeholders, acts as subject matter and technical expert, identifies and resolves complex operational issues. Leads internal control framework improvements and formulates strategic recommendations. Supports portfolio managers to ensure operational objectives are met.
• Serves as an escalation contact, creates, builds, and maintains relationships with portfolio traders and managers.
• Proactively anticipates portfolio events and leads process enhancement initiatives.
• Maintains communication with internal and external partners to resolve process and reconciliation issues. Oversees the research and implement complex process improvements.
• Oversees internal event tracking, performs incident analysis. Evaluates and enhances workflows.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
