Job summary

Vanguard in Ireland (Dublin) seeks a finance professional to lead analytical reviews of fund reports and oversee key deliverables. You will assist in dividend/tax reporting, analyze and resolve data issues, and help strengthen the internal control framework.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting.
• Proven experience in fund reporting or fund accounting.
• Experience managing internal team projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Review reports for low to medium complexity funds to ensure accuracy and validate results.
• Oversee completion of the group's key deliverables and support distribution/tax reporting processes.
• Analyze financial reports, resolve issues exceeding tolerance levels, and assist with investigations.
• Document control gaps and support improvements to strengthen internal controls.
• Maintain policies/procedures and drive process improvements to mitigate risk.
• Develop understanding of regulatory reporting requirements and ensure compliance.
• Stay updated on global regulatory changes and coordinate with providers and auditors.
• Coordinate fund certification processes and prepare necessary documentation.

Job description

Reviews complex fund financial reporting deliverables completed by third party service providers to verify accuracy, and assists in resolving issues. Acts as a peer lead for the team. Leads the daily oversight process.

Core Responsibilities

• 1. Perform analytical review of reports for low to medium complexity funds for accuracy. Validate results and perform control checks to ensure accurate results from service providers whilst assisting in resolving data issues or requests for information
• Oversee the completion of the group's key deliverables. Review selected financial reports for accuracy. Support dividend and capital gain distribution process and tax reporting functions as assigned. Analyse financial reports, and researches and resolves items that exceed established tolerance levels
• Complete fund financial statements and reports for shareholder and regulatory reporting in accordance with local regulatory reporting requirements. Shares knowledge and assists colleagues with problem resolution
• Identify and document any areas of control gaps whilst recommending improvements and assisting with strengthening and maintaining the internal control framework
• Maintain policies and procedures and identify opportunities for improvement and makes recommendations for process improvements. Ensure controls are implemented and executed to mitigate risk
• Develop and maintain a broad understanding of regulatory reporting requirements and compliance
• Keep up to date on global regulatory changes that will affect fund financial statement disclosures, and works with third party service providers and auditors to develop and implement changes
• Facilitate the fund certification process, including scheduling and preparing necessary certification documents

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience within Finance or Accounting
• Proven experience of working within fund reporting or fund accounting
• Previous experience of managing internal team projects and initiatives
