Job summary

Carne Group in Ireland seeks an entry level Associate to support the delivery of Fund Expense Management, helping design, implement and maintain a global programme overseeing fund expenses in line with regulatory requirements. Reporting to the Head of Fund Expense Management Function in Ireland, the role may support activities across Ireland, UK, Luxembourg, Channel Islands and Switzerland.

Qualifications

• A recognised professional or third level qualification related to the role, or 1 year of funds industry experience.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Prior knowledge of Funds structures, fund expense oversight or other fund operations would be an advantage.
• Some knowledge of funds and/or Management Company activities including UCITS and AIFMD regulations.

Responsibilities

• Implement a consistent global model where appropriate.
• Perform day-to-day duties to ensure funds under management meet regulatory requirements in each relevant jurisdiction.
• Develop SME role for oversight of fund costs.
• Ensure familiarity with regulatory requirements and potential changes in each jurisdiction and ensure ongoing compliance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (oversight, client relationship managers, compliance, senior management) to ensure governance requirements are met.
• Support team to coordinate issues with internal ops teams and escalate as needed.
• Conduct fund expense analysis, budget reviews, market/peer analysis, and TER/Ongoing Charges analysis.
• Prepare internal MIS, KPIs or other reporting as required.
• Foster a positive team culture and train/develop staff; supervise junior staff.
