Job summary

Our Client in Dublin seeks a Fund Controller to oversee accounting across a portfolio of investment entities. You will manage month-end close, prepare journal entries and reconciliations, and perform variance analysis on a range of investment products.

Collaboration with the external Fund Administrator, auditors, and finance teams will be routine. The role focuses on improving accounting processes and controls in a fast-paced investment environment, with exposure to equities, fixed income,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Fund Accounting, Funds Audit or related accounting/finance role.
• Strong accounting fundamentals; experience with month-end close, journals and reconciliations.
• Experience in Hedge Funds, Investment Management or alternative investment structures is advantageous.
• Exposure to investment products such as equities, fixed income, commodities and/or derivatives.
• Strong analytical skills with experience investigating movements and variances.
• Experience coordinating with Fund Administrators or external auditors is advantageous.
• Financial statement and audit exposure.
• Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Big 4/Top 10 Funds Audit experience would be relevant.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close processes and produce journal entries and reconciliations.
• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual variance analysis across investment products.
• Support external Fund Administrator and auditors on a monthly basis and during annual audits.
• Contribute to management reporting and project work to strengthen processes and controls.
