Job summary

Darwin Hawkins is seeking a Fund Controller in Dublin to oversee accounting across a portfolio of investment entities. You will manage month-end close, journal entries and reconciliations, and work closely with external fund administrators and auditors.

The role involves variance analysis, financial reporting, and contributing to process improvements within a fast-paced investment environment. 3+ years in fund accounting or related roles is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in Fund Accounting, Funds Audit or related accounting/finance role.
• Strong accounting fundamentals; experience with month-end close, journals and reconciliations.
• Experience with Hedge Funds, Investment Management or alternative investment structures is advantageous.
• Exposure to investment products (equities, fixed income, commodities, derivatives) is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Complete month-end close processes and produce journal entries and reconciliations.
• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual variance analysis; analyse activity across investment products.
• Support external Fund Administrator and auditors on a regular basis.
• Contribute to management reporting and projects to strengthen processes and controls.
