Job summary

HedgeServ is seeking a Fund Accounting Manager to lead the NAV calculation process under supervision of the Fund Accounting Director and Managing Director. You will ensure timely and accurate NAV delivery and support client relationships within HedgeServ’s funds administration framework.

The role requires guiding and mentoring a team of up to 10, handling complex reconciliations, and improving workflows. A strong accounting background and progress toward professional qualifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience in Hedge Fund Administration, with at least 3 years in supervisor role.
• Accounting, Finance, Legal or Business Degree.
• Intention to pursue professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACA) would be advantageous.
• IT literate with strong English communication skills.
• Ability to work within a team or independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage client relationships with HedgeServ leadership to ensure consistency of service.
• Ensure fund accounting team operates within defined control environment.
• Lead and develop client teams of up to 10 employees.
• Address fund accounting inquiries escalated by supervisors or administrators.
• Oversee daily cash and position reconciliations and timely NAV calculations.
• Develop and improve NAV calculation workflows and procedures.
• Review fee calculations and P&L allocations.
• Review performance metrics for monthly, yearly, and inception-to-date periods.
• Manage audit processes and preparation of fund financial statements.
• Investigate accounting implications of new products and client initializations.
• Participate in development and delivery of fund accounting training.
• Oversee recruitment, training and performance evaluations within fund accounting.
• Resolve complex issues and escalate as needed; engage with clients on complex queries.
