Job summary

RecruitNet International Ltd is hiring Healthcare Assistants for leading nursing homes across Waterford, Ireland. This full-time role welcomes EU citizens or those with Stamp 4/Stamp 1G, with sponsorship not available.

You will support nursing staff in delivering person-centred care, build relationships with residents, assist with mobility and personal care, and participate in activities to enhance quality of life. Garda Vetting and references are required.

Qualifications

  • FETAC/QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support or equivalent with relevant healthcare modules completed.

  • Reliable, professional, and committed to high standards of care and conduct.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and infection prevention within the home environment.
  • Contribute to health and safety practices and undertake any additional duties as required by the Nurse in Charge or management team.
Requirements
  • FETAC/QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support or equivalent qualification with relevant healthcare modules completed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Strong listening skills and a compassionate approach to resident care.
