Job summary

SMBC Group is seeking a Full Stack .NET Developer to join its Development team in Tralee. The role covers the full stack, including web apps, REST APIs, and databases, with hands-on C#/.NET and SQL development.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience, strong SQL (Oracle/SQL Server), and the ability to collaborate with analysts, architects and business users in a global financial services environment. This is a hybrid role with attendance at the Tralee office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of full stack software development experience.
• Strong C#/.NET development and object-oriented programming experience.
• Experience developing web applications, user interfaces, RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Strong Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server database experience.
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, stored procedures, query optimisation and performance tuning.
• Strong knowledge of relational database concepts, data modelling and database design.
• Experience with application integrations, enterprise systems and application architecture.
• Experience supporting, debugging and troubleshooting production applications.

Responsibilities

Role Description

SMBC is seeking a Full Stack .NET Developer to join its Development team in Tralee. The team develops and supports strategic and tactical applications that enable critical business processes across the organisation.
The successful candidate will have hands-on experience across the full technology stack, including web applications, user interfaces, backend services, REST APIs, databases and enterprise application support. Strong experience with C#/.NET, object-oriented programming, Oracle and/or SQL Server databases and complex SQL development is required.

The role will design, develop, enhance and support business applications, workflow solutions and system integrations. Working closely with business users, analysts, architects and development teams, the successful candidate will deliver scalable and reliable solutions within a global financial services environment.

This role will report to the Senior Applications Developer - Business Process Management.

Role Objectives: Delivery
