Job summary

Solas IT Recruitment seeks a Full Stack Java Developer for a Dublin City Centre-based daily rate contract. You will join a fast-paced financial services tech team to design, build and enhance scalable, secure applications across the full stack.

You’ll contribute to RESTful services, front-end interfaces and CI/CD practices in an Agile setting. You will work on a 6-month contract with a hands-on role focusing on high-performing systems, collaboration with stakeholders and adherence to security

Qualifications

• 2–5 years' experience as a Full Stack Java Developer, ideally within financial services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain full-stack applications using Java and modern development frameworks.

Full Stack Java Developer - Daily rate contract

My client based in Dublin City Centre is seeking a Full Stack Java Developer to join their technology team, supporting the development of business-critical applications within a fast-paced financial services environment.

This is a daily rate contract for 6 months.

This is a hands-on development role focused on designing, building and enhancing scalable, secure and high-performing applications. Working as part of an Agile team, you will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, developing both front-end and back-end solutions while collaborating closely with business and technology stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2–5 years' experience as a Full Stack Java Developer, ideally within financial services.
• Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs.
• Solid SQL skills with experience working with relational databases such as Oracle.
• Experience using Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working within Agile development environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with JUnit, Mockito or similar testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of Python.
• Exposure to AI tools or AI integration.
• Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark.
• Experience with Kafka or other messaging technologies.
• Experience working with AWS or other cloud platforms.
