Fruition Group Ireland is sourcing a backend engineer for our Dublin city centre client, an in‑office role. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, building scalable backend services, web apps, and cloud infrastructure to support a growing customer base.

The role emphasizes collaboration with data scientists and product teams, strong problem‑solving, and a balance between technical excellence and business priorities.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of backend development, RESTful APIs, and modern web application architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform preferred, AWS or Azure) and relational databases.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, infrastructure automation, and version control in production environments.
• Ability to design, build, deploy, and support reliable software solutions, balancing technical quality with business priorities.
• Experience contributing across both frontend and backend technologies, with a willingness to work wherever adds the greatest value.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working alongside cross‑functional teams.
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code, containerisation, observability, authentication, MLOps, or modern software engineering practices would be beneficial.
• Previous startup/scale‑up or product‑focused technology environment is advantageous.
