Job summary

Morgan McKinley is seeking a Senior Full Stack Application Developer to join its analytics development team in Dublin. You will lead technically, mentor juniors, and help shape technical direction in an Agile Scrum/Kanban setting.

Responsibilities include building SPAs with TypeScript/React, creating APIs with C#, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with Product Owners and QA. Strong focus on data-driven analytics applications and delivering high-quality software.

Our client is looking for a Senior Full Stack Application Developer to join its growing analytics development team.

About the Role

As a Senior Developer, you will take a leading role in delivering new capabilities within a dynamic technology environment. You will act as a technical leader within the team, supporting and mentoring junior developers and helping to shape technical direction. Some people-management responsibilities may also be involved. Working within a fully Agile Scrum/Kanban environment, you will work across a broad range of technologies alongside experienced and collaborative colleagues, contributing to the development of data-driven applications and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Single Page Applications (SPAs) using technologies such as TypeScript, React and D3.js.
• Develop APIs using C#, both for specific applications and for wider use across the application estate.
• Contribute to the design, development, testing and maintenance of applications and solutions.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines as code.
• Promote and maintain development standards through automation, code reviews, Agile practices, release automation and tools such as JIRA.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters and Business Analysts to understand requirements, shape solutions and deliver web-based analytics applications.
• Develop a strong understanding of both functional and non-functional requirements and how customers interact with applications.
• Provide Level 3 application support, including incident investigation, bug triage, code and data fixes, testing and patching.
• Share technical knowledge and support the development of other team members.
• Work closely with QA teams to support testing and resolve identified issues.
• Create and maintain appropriate technical and process documentation.
• Track and report delivery progress to relevant IT and product stakeholders.

Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

Required Skills

• 6+ years' software development experience.
• A genuine interest in software development and a desire to stay current with emerging technologies and development practices.
• Experience with AWS, cloud technologies, serverless architecture, Agile, DevOps, CI/CD and database technologies.
• Experience working within Agile development environments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working under pressure and managing competing priorities.

Preferred Skills

• UI/UX experience would be advantageous.
