Job summary

Fidelity Investments in Ireland (Galway) is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Asset Management Technology group. You will design, develop and implement features for the Equity Technology Research division, focusing on workflows around corporate financial disclosure events for Fidelity’s investment universe.

The role requires 3+ years in full stack engineering (Java/Spring Boot backend, Angular frontend), experience with AWS, CI/CD and Agile/Scrum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent technology field.
• 3+ years in Full Stack Engineering with backend: Java, Spring Boot, microservices, API development (REST).
• Frontend: Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, Testing Frameworks.
• Experience with production support and incident resolution.
• 2+ years’ AWS Cloud technologies exposure (EC2, S3, Lambdas, CloudWatch).
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, preferably Scrum.
• Familiarity with Generative AI coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement products for Fidelity Ireland’s Asset Management Technology group.
• Collaborate with the Equity Technology Research division to support investment workflows.
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle from development through deployment.
• Participate in code reviews, testing and continuous improvement activities.

We have an outstanding opportunity for a Full Stack Software Engineer to work in a delivery team within Fidelity Ireland’s Asset Management Technology group. Our team is responsible for designing, developing & implementing products for the Equity Technology Research division which focus on, and are critical to, the workflows that interface between the Fidelity’s corporate investment research analysts and key corporate financial disclosure events held by third‑party companies within Fidelity’s investment universe. This interaction is at the very heart of Fidelity’s investment research value proposition.

The Expertise we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent technology field.
• 3+ years in Full Stack Engineering with demonstrated experience in:
• Backend: Java, Spring Boot, microservices, API development (REST)
• Frontend: Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript Testing Frameworks, Quality Engineering & Secure Development Practices
• Experience or exposure to production support and incident resolution.
• 2+ years’ experience or familiarity with AWS Cloud technologies, such as EC2, S3, Lambdas, or CloudWatch.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, preferably Scrum.
• Familiarity with Generative AI coding practices
