Job summary

Fidelity Investments in Galway, Ireland, is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Asset Management Technology group, delivering products for Equity Technology Research interfaces that connect analysts with corporate financial events.

You will design, develop and implement scalable backend services using Java/Spring Boot, with Angular frontend, and apply CI/CD and AWS practices in an Agile/Scrum environment. Generative AI coding practices familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent technology field.
• 3+ years in Full Stack Engineering with backend and frontend experience.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot and microservices.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, preferably Scrum.

Our team is responsible for designing, developing & implementing products for the Equity Technology Research division which focus on, and are critical to, the workflows that interface between the Fidelity’s corporate investment research analysts and key corporate financial disclosure events held by third‑party companies within Fidelity’s investment universe. This interaction is at the very heart of Fidelity’s investment research value proposition.

The Expertise we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent technology field.
• 3+ years in Full Stack Engineering with demonstrated experience in:
• Backend: Java, Spring Boot, microservices, API development (REST)
• Frontend: Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript
• Testing Frameworks, Quality Engineering & Secure Development Practices
• Experience or exposure to production support and incident resolution.
• 2+ years’ experience or familiarity with AWS Cloud technologies, such as EC2, S3, Lambdas, or CloudWatch.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, preferably Scrum.
• Familiarity with Generative AI coding practices
