Job summary

Orla Rose Associates in Dublin is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join its technology team. You will build real-time, high-performance web applications used in trading, analytics and reporting, collaborating with traders and operations to deliver impact.

This role is 70% frontend and 30% backend, using React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS and Java, designing REST APIs and WebSockets. You will contribute to architecture discussions, write clean, tested code, and work in a collaborative Agile

Are you a Full Stack Developer with a passion for building high-performance, real-time web applications?

We're partnering with a leading global financial markets firm that is seeking a talented developer to join its technology team in Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the next generation of web-based trading tools used in a fast-paced, real-time environment.

Working alongside software engineers, traders and operations teams, you'll help design, develop and enhance innovative applications that support real-time trading, visualisation, analytics and reporting.

The Role

As a Full Stack Developer, you'll play a key role in developing modern, scalable applications that directly support front-office trading activities. This role is 70% frontend and 30% backend focused.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing scalable back-end services (Java) and APIs.
• Working with real-time technologies including REST APIs and WebSockets.
• Collaborating closely with traders, operations teams and fellow developers to understand business requirements.
• Developing tools for trading, analytics, reporting and data visualisation.
• Writing clean, maintainable and well-tested code.
• Contributing to architecture discussions and technical design.
• Working within a collaborative Agile development environment.

About You

We're looking for developers who have:

• At least 3 years' commercial Full Stack Development experience.
• Strong experience with:
• React
• TypeScript
• HTML & CSS
• Java
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and WebSockets.
• Experience using Git or another source control system.
• Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for building high-quality software.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with both technical and business stakeholders.

Any of the following would be advantageous:

• Experience working on real-time or high-performance applications.
• Knowledge of financial markets, trading or capital markets.
• Experience with KDB or time-series databases.
