Role Profile

The School of Electronic Engineering is seeking to appoint an exceptionally qualified candidate at the level of Full Professor in Electronic & Computing Engineering, to join its team of talented academics. The successful candidate will be an internationally recognised academic committed to the pursuit of pioneering electronic and computer engineering and related research, who will actively contribute to the strategic direction of the core research initiatives in the School of Electronic Engineering and DCU. They successful candidate will provide leadership through active engagement in teaching and learning, research and scholarship and administration in the School, Faculty and University, as well as to make outstanding contributions to curriculum development of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes through innovative teaching, supervision of laboratory sessions, student mentoring and supervision of taught and research projects. They will be expected to strategically influence research and scholarship and contribute to advancing the School’s research agenda, including building strong partnerships and collaborations with industry partners. Reporting to the Head of School, the successful candidate will work closely with other colleagues, including the School Teaching Convenor, the School Research Convener and senior post-holders within the Faculty. Building positive relationships with professional support staff, and with technical and pedagogy specialists, and strong engagement with key stakeholders within and outside of DCU, are important aspects of this role.

Salary Scale

Full Professor - €147,197 - €186,072

Appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in line with current Government pay policy.
