Job summary

PepsiCo Cork FSQA Microbiology Laboratory seeks an experienced analyst to perform microbiological testing on beverage samples and report results. You will manage StarLIMS data, prepare reagents, review results, and contribute to method validations and investigations.

The role requires a BSc in a relevant field and 3+ years of lab experience, with strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills, supporting continuous improvement and accreditations.

Qualifications

• Minimum a BSc degree in Microbiology, Analytical Chemistry, Nutritional Science, Food Science or Technology.
• At least 3 years of laboratory experience with microbiology testing and data analysis.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Flexible to priority changes and able to work in a cross-functional/global environment.
• Strong organizational, time-management and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological analysis and reporting of beverage samples.
• Prepare solutions, reagents, and controls for routine testing.
• Support StarLIMS data management and sample tracking.
• Review, interpret, and communicate test results.
• Conduct method investigations and validations as required for accreditation.
• Develop quality control charts and data trending tools.
• Participate in proficiency testing and corrective actions.
• Utilize LIMS and reporting tools for KPI monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 17025, GLP and QMS standards.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policies and site procedures.
• Contribute to lab strategy and cross-functional projects in Cork FSQA.
