Job summary

Vada, a Michelin guide restaurant in Stoneybatter, Dublin 7, seeks an experienced Front of House staff member for approx 20 hours per week. The role includes a warm welcome, seating management, menu knowledge, precise order delivery, and strict adherence to service standards.

Training on Square POS and OpenTable will be provided by the Assistant Manager. A generous portion of tips awaits those who bring outstanding people skills and a customer-focused approach to the dining room.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in hospitality or customer service.
• Ability to build relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Outstanding people skills and friendly, patient demeanor.
• Food safety training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm, sophisticated welcome to all guests; manage seating efficiently to ensure a seamless transition into the dining experience.
• Possess a foundational understanding of the seasonal menu and daily specials to assist guests with food and drink choices.
• Deliver orders with precision and poise, maintaining an unobtrusive presence while remaining highly attentive to guest needs.
• Uphold impeccable table standards throughout the service, reflecting Michelin-guide aspirations.
• Utilise the Square POS system for accurate order entry and payment processing (training on Square and OpenTable provided).
• Diligently execute the restaurant's zero-waste protocols, minimising water and paper usage during service.
• Maintain clear, proactive communication with the Kitchen and FOH Supervisor and managers to ensure timing and dietary requirements are handled perfectly.
