Job summary

BOC Limited, a Linde company, is seeking a Freight Manager in Leixlip, Ireland to oversee global freight operations, including inbound, outbound and reverse logistics, ensuring safe, compliant and cost-efficient movement of goods.

You will lead a team of supply chain planners, establish reliable routes for new territories, forecast daily trends, run weekly meetings with customers and drive improvements in planning and freight software to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in supply chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years experience in supply planning, global logistics, or international supply operations.
• Strong understanding of global freight compliance, customs regulations, and international trade documentation.
• Experience managing or influencing significant freight budgets.
• Advanced analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel/Sheets and ERP/planning systems (SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, etc.)
• Strong communication skills in English with the ability to present insights and recommendations to management.
• High level of personal integrity.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing global freight operations for inbound, outbound, and reverse logistics, ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective movement of goods from suppliers to customer facilities.
• Manage a team of supply chain planners to ensure continuity of supply locally to meet stocking expectations and deliver best-in-class to the customer.
• Establish reliable and efficient supply routes for opportunities in new territories.
• Manage weekly and monthly meetings with the customer.
• Forecasting process & highlighting medium/high level concerns daily and escalating poor supplier performance.
• Obtain cost efficiencies through innovative approaches to logistics such as consolidated shipping vs direct shipping.
• Cross-functional trainer; provide training and knowledge sharing with other departments and TMM Supply Chain members.
• Own, drive and develop Planning and Freight Software to ensure that it meets business needs and any upgrades are planned and managed accordingly.

What Makes You Great
