Job summary

Logiskills Group seeks a Freight Forwarding Supervisor in Dublin 11 to oversee the day-to-day Freight Forwarding & Customs Clearance functions, supervising a small team across road, air and sea freight movements.

The role ensures shipments are booked, documented, and cleared through customs accurately and on time, with the supervisor serving as escalation point and supporting service levels and team performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in multimodal freight forwarding or customs clearance.
• Qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• FIATA/IATA certification is desirable; ADR certification desirable or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day freight forwarding and customs clearance activities.
• Supervise a small team handling road, air, and sea freight movements.
• Ensure bookings, documentation and customs clearance are accurate and timely.
• Serve as first escalation point within Operations for freight duties.
• Support, train and develop team; monitor service levels and compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement and reporting across operations.

Freight Forwarding Supervisor

Location: Dublin 11

Terms: Full-time permanent, office-based, Mon-Fri, normal hours

Package: €55k

A Dublin 11 based freight forwarder now seeks a Freight Forwarding Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day running of the Freight Forwarding & Customs Clearance functions, supervising a small team handling road, air and sea freight movements. This role is critical to ensuring shipments are booked, documented, and cleared through customs accurately and on time. As a key member of the Operations team, you will be the first point of escalation for the freight forwarding function, ensuring customs documentation is accurate and compliant, service levels are met, and the team is supported, trained, and performing to a high standard.

Minimum Requirements;

• Minimum 3 years' experience in multimodal freight forwarding, customs clearance, or international logistics
• Experience supervising or leading a small team
• Strong working knowledge of customs procedures, import/export documentation, and international trade compliance
• A qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Customs clearance / freight forwarding certification (e.g. FIATA, IATA, or equivalent) is desirable
• Dangerous goods / ADR certification desirable, or willingness to obtain
• Good Microsoft Suite skills (Word, Excel) and experience with freight/customs management systems
• Experienced in handling commercial conversations with customers and carriers
• Track record of managing customer relationships and service level agreements
