Job summary

Enterprise Freight is a well-established logistics business providing air, road and sea freight solutions with a 40+ year track record. We seek a Freight Forwarding Operator to manage shipments, coordinate multiple modes, and maintain strong client relationships from our Citywest/Dublin base.

You will handle rate sourcing, quotes, KPI monitoring and process improvements in a hands-on role. Hybrid working, ongoing growth opportunities, and a supportive team await the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics or freight forwarding sector.
• Strong written and verbal communication with clients, suppliers and internal teams.
• Skilled with Excel reporting and data handling.
• Experience with TMS systems such as Azyra.
• A degree-level qualification or equivalent desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage jobs in the freight system.
• Coordinate air, road and short sea shipments for clients.
• Source and present freight rates and quotations.
• Liaise with suppliers and carriers to meet SLAs.
• Keep customers informed of shipment issues and updates.
• Prepare consignment paperwork and ensure audit compliance.
• Review internal processes and suggest efficiencies.
• Create and update customer SOPs.
• Monitor KPIs to drive improvements.
• Identify growth opportunities with current clients.

What will my day to day look like?

• Creating and managing jobs in the company’s freight system
• Coordinating air, road and short sea shipments on behalf of clients
• Sourcing and presenting freight rates and quotations
• Liaising with suppliers and carriers to ensure SLAs are met
• Keeping customers fully informed of any issues affecting their shipments
• Preparing consignment paperwork and ensuring full compliance with audit requirements
• Reviewing internal processes and recommending efficiencies where appropriate
• Creating and updating customer SOPs
• Monitoring and reporting on KPIs to drive continuous improvement
• Identifying, developing and pursuing organic business growth opportunities with current clients

What experience do I need?

• Previous experience in the logistics or freight forwarding sector
• Experience working in a fast‑paced operations environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills – confident dealing with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
• A sharp eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Solid IT literacy, including Excel reporting
• Experience with TMS systems such as Azyra, etc.
• A degree‑level qualification or equivalent is desirable
