Job summary

Smyths Toys is recruiting a Customer Service Representative (Fraud Prevention) to join our Galway Head Office. If you enjoy problem solving, data analysis and making confident decisions in a fast-paced environment, Smyths Toys could be for you.

The role reviews customer orders for fraud risk, identifies fraudulent transactions, investigates activity and communicates trends to the Customer Service team. The office in Galway houses over 200 staff and the company operates across Europe.

Qualifications

Full fluency in English.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong decision-making ability and sound judgement.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to prioritise workload and manage time effectively.
Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

Review and assess customer orders using our fraud prevention systems.
Identify and prevent fraudulent transactions by making informed approval or cancellation decisions.
Investigate suspicious activity and analyse trends to identify emerging fraud patterns.
Communicate fraud trends and insights to the wider Customer Service team.
Maintain accurate records of investigations and decisions.
Meet or exceed productivity and quality targets while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
