Linda AI is hiring a Founding Software Engineer to join the Dublin-based in-office team. You will help set the technical direction and shape the way Linda builds its backend, APIs, and integrations for an AI receptionist used by healthcare clinics.

We are seeking a candidate with about two years of production software experience, strong backend skills in Python/TypeScript/Go, and a bias for shipping fast in a small, mission-driven startup. Share options are part of the package.

Qualifications

• About two years' experience delivering production software.
• Solid back-end experience - APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure - in at least one modern language (Python, TypeScript, Go or similar).
• Curious, hungry, hard-working and self-starting; comfortable owning things in an early-stage environment.
• A university degree at 2.1 or above (Irish/UK grading), or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and own core back-end services and APIs powering Linda.
• Create agents that act, turning caller input into the right action reliably.
• Develop real-time voice AI to keep conversations fast and natural on live calls.
• Implement telephony and WhatsApp integrations that scale for busy clinics.
• Integrate with practice-management software to read/write real patient data.
• Ensure secure, reliable handling of patient communications.

Founding Software Engineer - Linda AI (Dublin, in office)

Linda AI is building an AI receptionist for healthcare clinics, available over phone and WhatsApp. Linda answers calls, books and reschedules appointments, chases recalls, sends confirmations and takes deposits - so clinics give patients a premium, always-on experience while their front-desk teams stop drowning in admin.

We combine conversational AI with real healthcare workflows, and we're live with dental groups across the UK and Ireland. We're a small team backed by a €2.6M pre-seed led by 6 Degrees Capital, and we're growing quickly.

We're hiring one of our founding software engineers. You'd be working in person with the founders in our Dublin office, helping set the technical direction and the way we build.

What you'd actually work on

• Designing, building and owning the core back-end services and APIs that power Linda.
• Agents that act, not just chat: turning what a caller says into the right action reliably, every time.
• Real-time voice AI: keeping conversations fast and natural on a live call.
• Telephony and WhatsApp integrations that hold up at scale for busy clinics.
• Integrations with practice-management software, so Linda reads and writes real patient data correctly.
• Secure, reliable handling of patient communications.

Day to day that means shipping features end-to-end from idea to production, writing clean, testable code, reviewing others' work, improving performance and scalability, and helping set the standards for how we engineer, document and deploy. You need to learn fast and ship.

Who we're looking for

• About two years' experience delivering production software - or you spent college building things well beyond coursework: jobs, real projects, side projects people actually used.
• Solid back-end experience - APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure - in at least one modern language (Python, TypeScript, Go or similar).
• Curious, hungry, hard-working and self-starting. You get a kick out of hard problems and you're comfortable owning things in an early-stage environment.
• A university degree at 2.1 or above (Irish/UK grading), or the work to show you didn't need one.

Nice to have

• You've built agents - anything where an LLM has to use tools, hold state and get things done in the real world.
• Voice, audio or real-time systems experience.
• A background or real interest in healthcare, AI or conversational interfaces.

This is early-stage and demanding. It's in office in Dublin because we move faster together. You'll own real problems from day one, and your code will be in front of real clinics and patients within hours. In return: a competitive salary, share options, and a founding seat as we build the company.
