Job summary

Grassland Agro in Slane, Ireland, is seeking an experienced Forklift Driver to join our manufacturing operation. You will operate front loaders and forklifts to unload products from ships, load trucks, and keep the dock area clean and safe.

Responsibilities include efficient cargo handling, adherence to health and safety protocols, and flexibility for weekend or shift work during busy periods. Fluent English and a valid permit to work in Ireland are essential.

• Participate in safety training sessions and contribute to hazard identification and mitigation.
• Other tasks as required.

We now have an immediate vacancy in our Slane Factory for a Forklift Driver.

Reporting to the Factory Manager, the successful Candidate will have key Responsibilities as follows:

• Product Handling: Utilise front loaders and forklifts to efficiently unload products from incoming ships
• Ensure careful and organised handling of cargo to prevent damage.
• Safely load trucks and lorries with products, optimizing space and securing the cargo.
• Good Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dock area. Dispose of packaging materials and waste in designated areas.
• Health & Safety: Follow Health & Safety protocols and report equipment issues promptly to ensure a well-maintained and safe working environment. Participate in safety training sessions and contribute to the identification and mitigation of potential hazards.
• Other tasks as required from time to time.

Requirements:

• Available to work between the hours of 8am – 4.30pm from Monday to Friday, weekend work may be required during busy periods.
• Available also to work shift work as and when needed.
• Experience working in Manufacturing Environment.
• Fluent English & Valid Permit to work in Ireland is essential.
