Job summary

Parkview Hotel in Wicklow, Ireland is seeking a Food and Beverage Manager to lead all F&B operations. You will report to the General Manager and drive service quality, guest satisfaction and financial performance across the bar, restaurant and events.

Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, recruiting and mentoring staff, managing stock and costs, ensuring health and safety compliance, and building strong guest relationships to resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in food and beverage service, ideally in a hotel setting.
• Strong leadership and people-management abilities.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Clear communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.

Job description

We are seeking a Food and Beverage Manager for our busy hotel located in Wicklow, Ireland. The successful candidate will report directly to the General Manager and will be responsible for the management of all food and beverage operations within the hotel.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the bar and restaurant, ensuring smooth service and high-quality food and beverage standards
• Ensure that all food and beverage service is provided in a timely and efficient manner, maintaining the highest standards of service quality.
• Manage all food and beverage staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with guests, ensuring their needs are met and any issues are resolved promptly.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
• Manage the scheduling of staff to ensure adequate coverage for all food and beverage operations.
• Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships to maintain inventory and cost control
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of all areas, including bar, kitchen, and dining spaces
• Provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities to build a high-performing team
• Lead by example, motivating staff and maintaining a positive work environment

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a hotel environment.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle customer complaints and resolve issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
