Job summary

Muckross Park Hotel & Spa in Killarney, Co. Kerry, seeks a Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team across Monks Lounge and Yew Tree Restaurant. This permanent role offers a competitive package and benefits, based in the hotel.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.

• Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing).

Responsibilities

Muckross Park Hotel & Spa, part of the iNUA Collection, is a renowned Five Star hotel located in Killarney, Co. Kerry. The hotel is surrounded by nature in Killarney National Park and is only 4 Km from the town centre. We are now delighted to announce that we are seeking a Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team in multiple outlets (Monks Lounge, Yew Tree Restaurant). This is a permanent role, based in the hotel, offering a very attractive package and benefits.

Overview Of The Role

To provide exceptional service to our guests in Food and Beverage outlets and to maximise guest satisfaction and food and beverage profitability.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure that guests receive high-quality service for lunch and dinner
• Ensure that the Lounge premises are in neat and orderly condition at all times
• Greet and seat the guests, and make sure that they receive prompt, courteous and efficient service
• Provide guests with high-quality service
• Perform all service duties of the Monks Lounge, i.e. food service, beverage service, room service etc.
• Seek appropriate opportunities to communicate with guests to personalise the service
• Ensure readiness and compliance among all team members

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 1 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Experience working in high-volume operations is a distinct advantage.
• Must have excellent knowledge of HACCP.
• Understanding of Food and Beverage procedures
• Must be flexible within the role
• Good communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
