Job summary

McWilliam Park Hotel is seeking a Food & Beverage Assistant to join its guest-focused team in Ireland. You will set up dining areas, take and communicate orders, and deliver meals across dining rooms, bars, and event spaces while maintaining hygiene and service standards.

Excellent English, strong organisation, and a customer-centric attitude are essential. The role offers opportunities for upselling, teamwork, and a supportive Windward Management group.

Responsibilities

• To assist with the setting up of all dining areas.
• To accurately take orders and communicate with colleagues.
• To serve Food & Beverages in dining rooms, bar, restaurant, outdoor dining, function rooms and lobby areas including room service.
• To collect room service trays and glassware from corridors.
• To keep work areas clean at all times and follow hygiene regulations.
• To upsell and promote guest revenue where possible.
• To record and present orders, bills and dockets to kitchen and guests at end of shift.
• To ensure all orders are paid before completing shift and hand open cheques to a colleague when needed.

This represents an ideal opportunity for an innovative, passionate and standards-driven Food & Beverage Assistant, eager to progress his/her career.

The Food and Beverage Assistant’s key purpose is to ensure that all guests of the hotel receive service of the highest standard. The F&B Assistant also plays a key part in ensuring that the outlet to which they are assigned is at all times safe, hygienic, efficient yet welcoming, and operating within budget. The food and beverage team supports and works in partnership with all other departments, ensuring all standards and guest expectations are consistently met or exceeded.

The McWilliam Park Hotel is a Failte Ireland approved luxurious four-star hotel. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, making it a popular hotel for celebrating special occasions likeweddings or to enjoy a romantic break or family getaway.

The hotel boasts 103 comfortable large sizedhotelbedrooms, aleisure club(Evolve Health & Fitness) with a fully equipped gym, an indoorheated swimming pool and children’s pool.

Responsibilities:

• To assist with the setting up of all dining areas.
• To accurately take orders and requests and communicate these to relevant colleagues in the F&B outlets and Kitchen.
• To serve Food & Beverages to our customers within our dining rooms, bar and restaurant, outdoor dining, function rooms and lobby areas as well as occasional room service.
• To collect room service trays and glassware from corridors.
• To ensure that your work areas are kept clean at all times.
• To follow all hygiene regulations.
• To use every opportunity to maximise guest revenue by upselling and needs based selling.
• To ensure all orders, bills and dockets are accurately recorded and presented to kitchen, guest and colleagues at end of shift.
• To ensure all orders you’ve taken have been correctly accounted for and paid before completing each shift.
• To ensure that any ‘open’ cheques or tables are passed over to a colleague before completing your shift.
