Job summary

Collins McNicholas Recruitment & HR Services Group is seeking a qualified Finance Manager for a client in the FMCG manufacturing sector based in Dublin 12. The role is permanent with hybrid working and focuses on management accounting, financial reporting and business partnering.

You will own the monthly reporting cycle, lead budgeting and planning, support covenant compliance and manage two financial accountants, while collaborating with operations, procurement and commercial finance.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with professional accreditation (CIMA, ACCA or ACA).
• At least five years’ finance experience, ideally in FMCG.
• Experience in management accounting or FP&A within FMCG.
• Strong reporting and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Experience with an integrated ERP system; IFS is desirable.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines and lead a team.
• Excellent communication with non-finance colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly management accounts and board reporting pack, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, net debt and KPI reporting.
• Prepare commentary and variance analysis against budget and prior year, including EBITDA bridges with volume, price, mix, cost and FX.
• Hands-on month-end close, posting journals and reconciliations.
• Prepare financial information for sponsor queries, lender reporting and covenant management.
• Lead annual budgeting and strategic planning, track value creation against the investment case.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and cost/variance analyses with operations and procurement.
• Evaluate capex proposals and monitor spend against budgets.
• Track working capital performance and provide actionable insights.
• Supervise two financial accountants and set priorities.
• Support insurance renewal and ad hoc financial analysis.
