Spectrum Health is seeking an experienced and adaptable Contractor Podiatrist to join our growing panel of healthcare professionals. This is a very flexible role, and we will consider any hours you can work in the evenings and/or weekends. Immediate start date.

This position is ideal for an independent Podiatrist who values autonomy, clinical variety, and the ability to support patients in a face-to-face environment. We would love to hear from you!

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Podiatry (essential).
• CORU registration (essential).
• Podiatry Ireland Membership (essential).
• Professional Indemnity Insurance (essential).
• Private practice experience (preferred).
• New grads are welcome to apply.
• Must be authorised to work in Ireland.

Responsabilités

• Treat verrucas, corns, calluses and other skin ailments.
• Assess and treat ingrown toenails and perform nail tidying.
• Provide preventive care for diabetes patients at risk of foot disease.
• Examine feet, ankles and lower legs via medical history and physical exams.
• Diagnose foot, ankle and lower leg problems.
• Prescribe orthotics to improve foot/ankle deformities.
• Advise on foot care and general wellness techniques.
• Educate patients on improving conditions.
• Liaise with GP, Physio and MDT; refer to specialists when needed.
• Maintain CPD and up-to-date CPD folder.
• Write patient notes, manage payments and issue receipts.
• Place stock orders and log repairs.
• Supervise students/junior podiatrists and teach.
• Manage clinical risk and infection control.
• Be caring, professional and patient-centered.
• Assist with blogs/content for social media and marketing.
• Collaborate with marketing for ground feedback.
