Job summary

Spectrum Primary Care is seeking a Full or Part Time Podiatrist to work within a multidisciplinary team in Dublin and Meath clinics and nursing homes. The role includes a range of podiatry services with opportunities to advance clinically or into leadership, and potential for nail surgery depending on experience.

Salary ranges from €50,000 to €77,000 per annum, with earnings up to €100,000 including commission. A driving license and access to a car are preferred due to travel between sites.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Podiatry is essential.
• C0RU registration is essential.
• Podiatry Ireland membership is essential.
• Professional indemnity insurance is essential.
• Private practice experience is preferred.
• New grads are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Treat skin ailments such as verrucas, corns and calluses.
• Assess and treat ingrown toenails and general feet tidy up.
• Preventative care for patients with diabetes at risk of foot disease.
• Examine feet, ankles and lower legs with medical history and examination.
• Diagnose foot, ankle and lower-leg problems.
• Prescribe orthotics and other treatments for feet and ankles.
• Advise on foot care and wellness techniques.
• Educate patients and liaise with other health professionals.
• Maintain CPD records and write case notes and reports.
• Manage stock orders and repairs; supervise students if needed.
• Maintain clinical risk controls and infection prevention.
• Be compassionate and patient-centered; assist with content for marketing.
