Job summary

Spectrum Health is seeking an experienced and flexible Contractor GP / Locum Doctor to join our expanding panel of healthcare professionals. This role offers a minimum commitment of 20 hours per month across nursing homes, GP practices, and remote teleclinic consultations, with a focus on high-quality, patient-centered care.

The ideal candidate has IMC registration, indemnity, and at least 3 years of post-registration experience, plus comfort with digital health systems.

Qualifications

• Fully registered with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).
• Professional medical indemnity insurance.
• Minimum of 3 years' post-registration experience in general practice or community care.
• Comfortable using digital health systems and conducting remote consultations.
• Reliable and self-motivated with a flexible, patient-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide general medical services within nursing home settings.
• Offer locum cover in GP practices and community-based clinics.
• Conduct remote consultations and teleclinic appointments via digital health platforms.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions.
• Work collaboratively with nursing and allied health staff across multiple care settings.
• Provide safe, high-quality care in line with Spectrum Health protocols and national clinical guidelines.
