Job summary

Shannondoc is seeking Registered Nurses for part-time roles at our Limerick Call Centre, offering flexibility, work–life balance, and the chance to apply clinical judgement without ward-based demands. Roles are 16 or 19 hours per week with hybrid work after training.

As a Telephone Triage Nurse, you will assess patient symptoms by phone, maintain nursing records, follow protocols, and liaise with the multidisciplinary team to direct patients to appropriate care when needed.

Qualifications

• NMBI RGN registration is required.
• Minimum 3 years post-registration experience.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work in a busy call-centre environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient symptoms by phone using clinical software and professional judgement.
• Maintain nursing records to a high standard per policies.
• Provide treatment or advice per company protocols.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team when needed.
• Determine urgency and direct to appropriate care (GP/ED/ambulance).
• Engage in CPD and ongoing professional development.
