Monahan's Fuels & Garden Centre in Maynooth, Co. Kildare, is seeking part-time flexible delivery drivers for 7 days a week. We can work around days that suit you and plan with customers accordingly.

Role involves home and business deliveries nationwide using a 3.5 ton truck; full-day and half-day hours and rates available.

Applicants must have a clean B license, be 23+, have good manners, strong communication and problem solving, and be able to use Google Maps; training provided.

Qualifications

• Must have valid clean B car driving license as 3.5 ton truck can be driven on car license.
• Must be 23 years or older due to insurance.
• Experience operating a tail lift and electric pallet truck preferred but not essential as training can be provided.
• Must have excellent manners and politeness as deliveries are to customers homes.
• Must have excellent communication & problem solving skills.
• Must have access to Google maps via phone or sat nav.
• Must be willing to work on own initiative and also as part of a team.
• Must have good time management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pallets of Firewood or Outdoor Furniture to homes and businesses.
• Most deliveries are home deliveries, requiring a friendly customer-facing approach.
• Coordinate routes and schedule with customers to plan deliveries effectively.

ABOUT THE TRUCK:

3.5 ton Curtainsider with 1 ton tail lift.

You will be expected to treat the company vehicle with the upmost respect and keep it clean and tidy at all times.

ABOUT THE JOB:

This job requires an honest, polite, reliable, positive individual who is a people person. Most goods to be delivered will be palletised Firewood or Outdoor Furniture and can be delivered easily with either electric pallet truck or hand trolley. The working day will consist of mostly home deliveries so it s of the upmost importance that the customer always sees a friendly face that they can get to know. All of our customers return to order again and our service is a massive contributor to this.
