Job summary

Cashel Palace Hotel, a Relais & Châteaux property beside the Rock of Cashel, seeks a dedicated Public Areas Cleaner to join the Housekeeping team. You will maintain pristine public spaces, ensuring guest areas meet five-star standards and regulatory health and safety requirements.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is desirable but not essential.
• A strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness across all public areas of the hotel.
• Clean and present guest corridors, lobbies, lounges, stairways, meeting spaces and public washrooms.
• Ensure all public areas are fully stocked with required supplies and amenities.
• Carry out routine cleaning schedules and deep-cleaning tasks as required.
• Respond promptly to guest and operational requests.
• Report maintenance issues and health & safety concerns.
• Assist Housekeeping colleagues when required to support overall departmental operations.
• Follow all cleaning procedures in line with hotel standards and health and safety regulations.
• Ensure back-of-house areas are maintained to the same exceptional standards as guest-facing spaces.
• Support the team in preparing the hotel for VIP arrivals, events and special occasions.
