Job summary

Teleflex Incorporated in Ireland seeks a qualified accountant to lead European general ledger reporting. You will manage US GAAP month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely presentation of financial data to corporate.

The role also supports forecasts and annual plans, detailed cost centre analyses, VAT/tax compliance, and audit preparations. Collaboration with Athlone and SOX control stewardship are key aspects.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Experience in a Shared Service Centre.
• SAP user level experience.
• Excellent IT skills with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality.
• Good time management and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Ad hoc tasks to support Finance Function; back up for colleagues.
• Participate in mentoring programme within team.

Position Summary

The position is responsible for general ledger-related reporting duties for European entities.

Principal Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of US GAAP accounts and month end close


• Completion and review of Balance sheet reconciliations


• Ensure the presentation to corporate of financial data on a timely and accurate basis.

Education / Experience Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)


• Previous Experience in a Shared Service Centre


• SAP user level experience


• Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality.


• Excellent IT skills with a working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.


• Strong attention to detail with good time management skills


• The ability to work effectively under pressure and to strict deadlines.
