Job summary

Barden is seeking a Financial Controller in Cork to lead the finance function and drive governance, reporting and forecasting improvements. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will manage a small team, ensure timely monthly accounts, and maintain statutory compliance across entities.

You will partner with IT and other departments to modernise systems, introduce AI and automation, and provide insightful analysis for strategic decision making.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) with several years' finance experience.
• Commercial and analytical with stakeholder insight.
• Proven people management and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a finance team of circa five people and oversee accounting processes.
• Review and finalise monthly accounts and statutory financial statements across entities.
• Prepare rolling cash forecasts and cashflow models.
• Monitor performance and profitability, run variance analysis.
• Provide financial management across key projects and operations.
• Lead the finance function's digital transformation with AI and automation.
