Job summary

Armont Recruitment partnered with a market leading organisation invites an experienced Financial Controller to join their finance team in south Dublin on a 12-month contract. You will lead a team of accountants, own the month-end close, oversee financial reporting, and support the Finance Director on control improvements and commercial decision-making.

The role requires 5+ years’ finance management PQE, ACA/ACCA qualification, and a hands-on, proactive approach to governance and process

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA or ACCA with minimum 5+ years’ finance management PQE.
• Hands-on experience as Financial Controller or senior finance manager.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of experienced accountants.
• Provide leadership and direction to the finance team on a day-to-day basis.
• Take ownership of the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare and review management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and board reporting packs.
• Manage statutory reporting and act as the primary liaison for external auditors.
• Maintain a hands-on approach across all aspects of the finance function, providing technical support and guidance to the wider team.
• Review and monitor KPIs, identifying opportunities to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
• Maintain and oversee internal controls and financial governance processes.
• Work with the finance team to drive process improvement and automation initiatives.
• Partner with key stakeholders across the business to support commercial and strategic decision-making.

Armont have partnered with a market leading organisation seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their dynamic finance team based in south Dublin on an initial 12-month contract.

This outstanding senior finance opportunity will play a key hands-on Financial Controller role within an established business that has achieved impressive expansion in recent years. Working closely with the Finance Director, you will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, lead a team of experienced accountants and remain actively involved in financial reporting, controls, process improvement and commercial finance activities.

This role will suit an experienced, hands-on Financial Controller with a minimum of 5+ years’ finance management PQE.

The Role

The Candidate

• Qualified ACA or ACCA Accountant with a minimum of 5+ years’ finance management PQE
• Proven experience operating in a hands-on Financial Controller or senior finance management capacity
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise
• Strong leadership qualities and experience of team development
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and interact with people at all levels across the business
