Job summary

Cpl is recruiting an experienced Financial Controller for a fast-growing specialist provider of engineering and technical services to the multinational manufacturing sector based in Limerick.

Reporting to the site-based Director of Operations, you will lead the finance function, drive governance, budgeting and financial transformation, and support growth initiatives across the region.

Qualifications

• 3rd level degree in a relevant discipline.
• Fully qualified accountant; Big 3 training preferred.
• 6–7+ years experience in a Finance Controller/Finance Manager role.
• Experience supporting international entities is advantageous.
• Experience in growth planning & expansion strategy is advantageous.
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly and annual close processes.
• Maintain robust financial controls.
• Deliver detailed financial analysis and performance reports.
• Oversee risk, compliance and audit processes.
• Coordinate and implement annual budgets.
• Provide financial guidance to commercial & technical leaders.
• Lead business transformation projects.
• Mentor and support your team; liaise with the global CFO.

The Job

Reporting to the site based Director of Operations, you will be a key part of the senior leadership team & be responsible for leading the finance function as well as providing strategic financial direction & governance across all aspects of business operations.

More specifically you will take ownership of the monthly & annual close processes, develop & maintain robust financial controls, deliver detailed financial analysis & performance reports, oversee risk/compliance & audit processes, coordinate & implement annual budgets, provide financial guidance to commercial & technical leaders, lead business transformation projects, mentor & support your team in their own duties & liaise with the global CFO on all relevant projects for your region.

Your Skills/Experience that we need

• 3rd level degree qualified in a relevant discipline.
• Fully qualified accountant - Big 3 training preferred but not essential.
• 6-7+ years experience in a Finance Controller, Finance Manager or similar level role ideally.
• Experience gained supporting international entities would be a major advantage.
• Experience in growth planning & expansion strategy would be an advantage.
• Excellent IT skills including a high level of ability in all Microsoft applications.
• Proven ERP system experience would be an advantage.

The Offer

This position is being offered as a permanent role & salary on offer will depend on skills/experience of the candidate but is expected to range up to 90-95k approx. In addition there will be annual bonus, pension contribution, private health insurance, 25 days AL, etc. as well as excellent further career growth & development prospects towards a director level role.

This role will be a hybrid position with 2-3 days office based in Limerick city centre & the balance from home/remote so could also suit candidates outside the immediate Limerick region.
