Job summary

Ornua, Dublin Co-Op team, is seeking a Financial Accountant to manage financial statements, reconciliations and close processes while supporting budgeting, forecasting and controls. The role involves liaising with auditors and driving improvements in financial controls.

The ideal candidate is recently ACA-qualified with Big 4 experience, strong analytical ability, excellent communication and IT skills (Excel and AI familiarity), and a proactive, deadline-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• Recently qualified ACA with Big 4 experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commercially astute with strong analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient IT skills with Excel; knowledge of AI tools is a plus.
• Experience with cost accounting, or monitoring/sales performance is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Inventory valuation analysis.
• Assist in audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Manage general ledger and journal entries.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Improve financial controls and processes.
• Ad hoc reporting.
