Job summary

The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) invites applications for an Accountant to join our Finance team in Dublin city centre. You will support month-end processes, ensure accurate revenue recognition and cost allocations, and maintain compliance with VAT and RCT obligations.

You will work closely with the Senior Accountant and Financial Controller, contributing to audit readiness and financial reporting timelines while supporting Accounts Payable/Receivable and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• Min 2-3 years experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Part-qualified ACCA/ACA or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Month-end responsibilities including revenue recognition and cost allocations.
• Prepare prepayments and accruals; review and post monthly journals.
• Prepare complete statutory audit files and respond to auditors’ queries; ensure timely signing of financial statements.
• Complete VAT/RCT returns on time and maintain compliance with internal controls.
• Support Accounts Receivable and Payable functions; participate in ad hoc finance projects.
