Job summary

Zurich Life Assurance plc is seeking a Finance Transformation Team Member to join its dynamic team in Blackrock, Co Dublin. The role focuses on automating and improving finance processes through data-driven solutions and technology-enabled tools.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years’ experience in a relevant finance, data or analytics role.
  • A third level qualification with strong financial or data analytics content.
  • Experience programming in Python, including writing, testing and maintaining code.
  • Experience working with SQL Server databases, including writing queries, designing, setting up and maintaining tables, and applying a solid understanding of relational database models.
  • Strong numeracy and attention to detail, with confidence working with financial datasets and large data volumes.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • A motivated self starter with a strong work ethic, able to take ownership of tasks and work autonomously when required.
  • A confident communicator and versatile team player, with the ability to build relationships and work on your own initiative.
  • Relevant financial services experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the development, testing and maintenance of technology enabled solutions that automate and improve Finance processes, including integrations with Finance Data platforms.
  • Preparing, reviewing and testing code and solutions to ensure accuracy, consistency and adherence to agreed standards.
  • Collaborating with Finance teams and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into practical, data driven solutions.
  • Preparing clear process documentation and user guidance, capturing data definitions, lineage and ownership to support the effective adoption and ongoing maintenance of automated solutions.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance Finance processes and data usage, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement within the Finance Transformation Team.

Title

Zurich Life Assurance plc is looking for a Team Member to join its Finance Transformation Team. Working closely with the Finance Department and with a strong data-driven focus, the team plays a key role in enhancing how financial data is managed and used across the Finance Function.

This role may be available part-time or full time. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need.

Your Role

As a Finance Transformation Team member your main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:

  • Supporting the development, testing and maintenance of technology enabled solutions that automate and improve Finance processes, including integrations with Finance Data platforms.

Additional Information
