SSE plc is seeking a Finance Technology Lead to shape the future of finance through digital innovation, automation and AI. You will drive a technology roadmap across Finance, Technology and the wider business, delivering responsible AI solutions and strong governance in a large, complex organisation.

The role requires strategic vision, hands-on delivery and collaboration with senior stakeholders to unlock value and ensure safety and compliance while achieving lasting impact.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading Finance technology transformations, including AI and automation implementations.
• Experience at finance-technology/business-change intersection translating strategy into scalable outcomes.
• Strong influence with senior stakeholders and driving organizational adoption of new technologies.
• Deep understanding of Finance controls, governance, data management and risk.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with significant senior Finance leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Shape and lead the development of Finance technology and AI strategy with a clear roadmap.
• Champion emergent technologies to simplify processes and enhance decision-making.
• Build partnerships across Finance, Tech and business to deliver changes.
• Lead digital transformation initiatives from concept to implementation with governance.
