Job summary

FRS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Finance Manager based in Cork to lead financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting. You will analyse sales and margins, drive profitability and work with senior management on strategic decisions.

The role requires a professional accounting qualification with at least five years in a similar finance position, strong Excel skills and a proactive, collaborative approach across finance teams.

Qualifications

• Recognised professional accounting qualification with at least five years' experience in a similar finance role.
• Strong experience in financial reporting, management accounts, budgeting and forecasting.
• Commercially minded with a solid understanding of costing, margins and profitability.
• Ability to interpret financial data and translate into practical recommendations for management.
• Experience supporting senior stakeholders with commercial and strategic decisions.
• Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel capability.
• Excellent communication and ability to work collaboratively across finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
• Maintain effective financial policies, procedures and internal controls, ensuring compliance with legislation and accounting standards.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis to monitor business performance against targets.
• Prepare and analyse sales and margin forecasts to identify profitability improvements.
• Collaborate with senior management on business strategy, cost savings and cost avoidance.
• Analyse sales, customer and market profitability to support commercial decision making.
• Partner with the sales team to ensure customer agreements are accurately costed and recorded.
• Oversee customer rebates and commercial agreements to ensure they are financially sound.
• Provide financial analysis and ROI calculations to support business cases.
• Coordinate the annual audit and liaise with external auditors.
• Oversee financial systems administration and provide financial information to the wider business.
• Manage and develop a team of two Credit Controllers.
• Ensure due diligence is completed when assessing customer credit terms and facilities.

About you
