Job summary

Steering Point is pleased to partner with a well-known financial services brand in Ireland seeking a Finance Director for its retail credit business. This PCF 11 role reports to the CEO in Ireland and collaborates with the Finance Director UK to align financial control and performance.

You will lead a finance function across ROI, develop the team, ensure robust reporting and risk management, and influence Exco decisions to shape strategy.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with 10+ years PQE in the Financial Services sector in Ireland and/or the UK.
• Strategic thinker with proven ability to manage all aspects of financial control.
• Experience operating at Board level and influencing decision making.

Responsibilities

Steering Point is pleased to partner with a well-known financial services brand who are looking for a Finance Director for their retail credit business in Ireland. This role is a PCF 11 and the financial representative on the Exco.

The opportunity:

Reporting to the CEO in Ireland and with a dotted line into the Finance Director UK, you will lead the finance function in the ROI and working closely with the UK Finance team to ensure alignment of financial control and financial performance objectives.

You will work closely with the Exco, particularly the CEO, to monitor and evolve the business strategy to ensure those financial objectives are met. The role is also responsible for ensuring that the financial and regulatory reporting framework is robust and appropriate, strong financial controls are in place and financial risks are identified and well-managed.

You will be responsible for managing and developing a team of finance professionals, at various stages of their careers, ensuring that appropriate annual objectives are in place and that effective performance reviews are undertaken. Working with the HR Business Partner, you will empower, nurture and engage team members in an inclusive culture through coaching, mentoring and team-development in order to increase productivity performance.

Your profile:

You will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with 10+ years PQE in the Financial Services sector in Ireland and/or the UK

You will be a strategic thinker with a proven ability to manage all aspects of financial control

You will be used to operating at Board level and influencing decision making
