Job summary

Canada Life Assurance Europe plc in Dublin is seeking an experienced accountant to join our finance team, supporting control and reporting requirements and helping integrate the latest technology to enhance our financial processes.

You will deliver accurate financial, regulatory, and management reporting while maintaining a strong control framework in line with ICOFR and IFRS standards. Knowledge of SAP or Oracle is advantageous; German language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to present insights that support decision-making.
• Proficiency with digital/analytics tools and financial software is essential.
• Experience with SAP or Oracle is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate financial, regulatory, and management reporting.
• Maintain a strong control environment ensuring ICOFR/regulatory compliance.
• Provide clear financial analysis and insights to support business performance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and deployment of new financial systems.
