Job summary

Alliance Automotive Group UK & Ireland seeks a Finance Manager to partner with local stores and the Ireland leadership team. Based on-site in Parkwest, Dublin with hybrid flexibility, you will drive integration, governance, and financial controls across acquisitions while leading FP&A, balance sheet harmonisation and reporting to the group.

A proactive, cross-functional leader with SOX and US GAAP expertise is essential.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with multinational exposure preferably in automotive/industrial distribution.
• Proven experience in US GAAP and SOX compliance within a group environment.
• Strong ERP and financial consolidation tool experience (Hyperion/HFM, OneStream).

Responsibilities

• Lead post-acquisition integration and system migration to central ERP.
• Harmonise balance sheet opening balances and purchase price accounting entries.
• Manage month-end close, ensure SOX compliance and US GAAP alignment.
• Oversee credit control, cash flow, and working capital for the Ireland stores perimeter.
• Provide FP&A support including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

As part of a fast-growing, highly acquisitive business backed by a prominent NYSE-listed US parent company, this role combines core financial management with rapid post-acquisition integration and cross-functional leadership.Position OverviewReporting To: Financial Controller - IrelandLocation: On-site Parkwest, Dublin, Hybrid Max 2 days per weekKey Interactors: UK and Ireland Finance Leadership, Ireland Stores Management, Financial Shared Services (FSS), Store Branch managers and Directors of acquired businesses.Key ResponsibilitiesPost-Acquisition Integration & Change ManagementSystem Migration: Lead the rapid transition of newly acquired entities onto central ERP and financial business systems post-acquisition.Process Alignment: Standardise accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting timelines of acquired businesses to match group standards.Balance Sheet Harmonisation: Conduct post-acquisition balance sheet reviews, aligning opening balances and purchase price accounting entries.Corporate Reporting & US ComplianceMonth-End Close: Manage the UK & Ireland month-end process, ensuring accurate submission of results to European teams.SOX Compliance: Maintain a rigorous internal control environment in strict compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and US GAAP.Shared Services Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for the Financial Shared Services (FSS) team, ensuring smooth delivery of AP and AR transactions.Commercial Credit Control & Cash FlowCredit Team Leadership: Directly manage the Stores Credit Control team to optimise working capital and mitigate bad debt exposure across a diverse automotive customer base.Risk Evaluation: Oversee commercial credit limits, payment terms, and collection strategies for major distributors, buying groups, and independent factors.Core Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)Budgeting & Forecasting: Drive the annual budgeting process for the Stores business and monthly rolling forecasts for the Ireland stores perimeter.Performance Analysis: Provide variance analysis and actionable operational insights to the UK & Ireland executive team to protect margins.Requirements & QualificationsEducation & Professional ExperienceProfessional Qualification: Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or CPA).Corporate Background: Minimum 4–6 years of progressive finance experience, ideally within a multinational or a highly matrixed corporate environment.Industry Exposure: Experience in the automotive aftermarket, industrial distribution or retail is highly advantageous.M&A/Integration: Proven track record of onboarding or integrating newly acquired businesses into a centralized finance function.Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Frameworks: Robust understanding of US GAAP and SOX compliance, alongside UK & Irish GAAP.Systems Expertise: Proficiency in enterprise ERP systems and financial consolidation tools (e.g., Hyperion/HFM, OneStream).
