Job summary

Alliance Automotive Group UK & Ireland seeks a Finance Manager to act as a key business partner across the UK & Ireland division. You will drive financial integration, governance, and cross‑functional leadership during rapid post‑acquisition growth.

Location is on-site at Parkwest, Dublin with hybrid work up to 2 days per week. You will work with UK&I Finance Leadership, Ireland Stores Management, FSS, and acquired business Directors to standardise policies and reporting.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or CPA)
• Minimum 4–6 years of progressive finance experience, ideally within a multinational or matrixed environment
• Experience in the automotive aftermarket, industrial distribution or retail is advantageous
• M&A/integration experience with onboarding or integrating acquired businesses into a centralized finance function
• Robust understanding of US GAAP and SOX compliance, UK & Irish GAAP
• Proficiency in ERP systems and financial consolidation tools (Hyperion/HFM, OneStream) and high Excel proficiency

Responsibilities

• Lead post-acquisition integration and system migration onto central ERP and financial systems
• Standardise accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting timelines for acquired entities
• Conduct post-acquisition balance sheet reviews and align opening balances and purchase price accounting
• Manage UK & Ireland month-end close and ensure timely submission to European teams
• Maintain SOX compliance and internal control environment
• Coordinate with Financial Shared Services (FSS) for AP/AR delivery
• Lead Stores Credit Control team and optimize working capital
• Drive FP&A budgeting and rolling forecasts for Ireland stores perimeter
• Provide variance analysis and actionable insights to the UK & Ireland executive team

The Finance Manager will serve as a key business partner within our UK & Ireland division, driving financial integration, operational excellence, and strict governance. As part of a fast-growing, highly acquisitive business backed by a prominent NYSE-listed US parent company, this role combines core financial management with rapid post-acquisition integration and cross‑functional leadership.

Position Overview Reporting To: Financial Controller - Ireland Location: On-site Parkwest, Dublin, Hybrid Max 2 days per week Key Interactors: UK and Ireland Finance Leadership, Ireland Stores Management, Financial Shared Services (FSS), Store Branch managers and Directors of acquired businesses.

Key Responsibilities

• Post-Acquisition Integration & Change Management System Migration: Lead the rapid transition of newly acquired entities onto central ERP and financial business systems post-acquisition.
• Process Alignment: Standardise accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting timelines of acquired businesses to match group standards.
• Balance Sheet Harmonisation: Conduct post-acquisition balance sheet reviews, aligning opening balances and purchase price accounting entries.
• Corporate Reporting & US Compliance Month-End Close: Manage the UK & Ireland month-end process, ensuring accurate submission of results to European teams.
• SOX Compliance: Maintain a rigorous internal control environment in strict compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) requirements and US GAAP.
• Shared Services Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for the Financial Shared Services (FSS) team, ensuring smooth delivery of AP and AR transactions.
• Commercial Credit Control & Cash Flow Credit Team Leadership: Directly manage the Stores Credit Control team to optimise working capital and mitigate bad debt exposure across a diverse automotive customer base.
• Risk Evaluation: Oversee commercial credit limits, payment terms, and collection strategies for major distributors, buying groups, and independent factors.
• Core Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Budgeting & Forecasting: Drive the annual budgeting process for the Stores business and monthly rolling forecasts for the Ireland stores perimeter.
• Performance Analysis: Provide variance analysis and actionable operational insights to the UK & Ireland executive team to protect margins.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education & Professional Experience
  Professional Qualification: Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or CPA).
• Corporate Background: Minimum 4–6 years of progressive finance experience, ideally within a multinational or a highly matrixed corporate environment.
• Industry Exposure: Experience in the automotive aftermarket, industrial distribution or retail is highly advantageous.
• M&A/Integration: Proven track record of onboarding or integrating newly acquired businesses into a centralized finance function.
• Skills & Competencies
  Technical Frameworks: Robust understanding of US GAAP and SOX compliance, alongside UK & Irish GAAP.
  Systems Expertise: Proficiency in enterprise ERP systems and financial consolidation tools (e.g., Hyperion/HFM, OneStream). High level of proficiency in Excel is also a requirement.
  Leadership & Influence: Strong people management skills with the ability to lead a credit control team and influence remote Shared Services partners.
  Resilience: Thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment characterised by rapid corporate growth and strict reporting deadlines of 2 days each month end.
